New London Cafe

Jan 26, 2013 by

This lovely café is very close to Highbury and Islington station but walking the opposite way you might normally go, down St Paul’s Road towards Dalston. With a corner spot, the owners of New London Cafe have made the most of its location with seats in the sunny window as well as a small terrace at the back.

The coffee served is Fair Trade Organic which is fine and a wide selection of sandwiches, paninis and cakes is offered, along with some pastries. I tried the spinach and cheese slice which was very tasty.

A warm welcome awaits you and the small cafe manages to squeeze a few tables in without the squashed in feeling you sometimes get.

I expect there are more plans for the tiny courtyard at the back but at the moment it is a peaceful sunny spot with a few plants.

Tables are old school desks and reuse is very much a theme, including the mix of artefacts and pictures which have been gleaned form second hand shops and markets.

No website as yet, the New London Cafe does have a Facebook page to check out and add your comments.
