Rial Cafe

Nov 17, 2012 by

I first discovered Rial Cafe when starting a walk from West Ham station about a year ago and, exploring the area some more, keep coming back.

Right opposite the station, it’s not hard to spot, and it’s worth breaking your journey here just to pop in. Tables outside for a sunny day and quite a few seats indoors, they serve a good coffee (will check the blend next time I’m there!) and a whole range of snacks and cakes.

The one thing you really can’t miss is the warm welcome you get when you walk through the door. Every regular seems to be a friend and you want to come back to be part of that. Customers are a lovely mix of old and young, different cultures and nationalities and that’s what draws me to this area.

The right hand wall is covered with Polaroid photos which make brilliant wallpaper. The left is lined with books covering just about any interest you might have so there’s plenty to look at if you’ve forgotten something to read.

It’s also really handy if you’re walking along the Greenway and fancy a cuppa. And an art gallery is being planned.
