Being well organised I found myself with an hour to wait in Bristol City Centre for my Megabus back to London.

There are lots of places to eat and drink in the Centre but I was looking for somewhere a bit special with wifi where I could just get a decent coffee and relax. I didn’t have time to explore far. And it was a Sunday.

I wandered about a bit and then my eagle eyes spotted Lashings, an independent coffee house on Broad Quay facing the hustle and bustle of the Centre. It was a perfect place to catch up on emails etc and watch the world go by, knowing it would only take me five minutes to get back to the Colston Hall to catch my coach.

Very friendly with nice organic coffee and a selection of delicious looking cakes, they also sell sandwiches and some more unusual items such as maltesers by the pot!

There are tables outside so you can watch the fountains or the traffic. I can see this may become a regular visit. Theres’s also a Lashings in Gloucester Road and Lower Redland Road now so I can check them all out.
